10:00 AM - Game/Home

This Flash video (Beck: Gameboy/Homeboy - a version of "Qué Onda Guero") that Jenny F linked is ridiculous. So colorful!

Oh and I bought the deluxe version of Guero, which, if you ask me, is totally worth it. I'm a sucker for a cd package that looks and feels like a book. Haven't checked out the dvd yet but I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what it has on it.

I'm tempted to get the Deluxe, but I'm afraid of all those re-mixes. Overkill perhaps? And I don't really like when CDs are packaged like a book cause then you can't put it in your regular cd shelf and then you forget you have it and you go all crazy wondering "Where did I put that Beck?" and you break out in a sweat and find yourself mumbling something about two turntables and a microphone and you get dizzy and pass out. And I hate that.

But I'll probably buy it.

I thought there was supposed to be some sort of remixer function on the DVD, but I can't track it down for the life of me...

I'm very happy I got the deluxe edition, mainly because I had the leaked version and the mixes didn't really change, so this just = more new songs, which I actually really like. The bonus tracks are way good, I think.

i agree totally. the extras and the artwork are worth it. granted the mixes on the main tracks aren't that much different in any way that changes the feel of any of the tracks, but they definitely sound a lot cleaner and clearer than the leaked stuff.

i think that with the dvd you are just supposed to 'remix' the video by changed camera angles. i could be wrong though, maybe there IS something cooler hidden in there...
