music seems crazy, bands start up each and every day | Main | megapixel central
This is strange, though it probably has a very simple and logical explanation... Brandon gave me an advance copy of the new Mussels record. I got home and put it in iTunes, expecting to have to manually put the song titles in since it was on a cdr and they just made it, so most likely it wasn't all set up in the database or whatever... but I start to import it and Hey! all the songs have titles! How nice. But when it was done I took out the cd only to see that the song titles iTunes had so gracefully added were not the right ones... though the band and album info were correct. Even stranger, the titles had some similarities to the lyrics/actual titles of the songs, like "Tuesday Thursday Friday" being called "My Three Days." Very odd. Now we're trying to figure out if there's an existing band with the same name who made an album with very similar ideas or if somebody just already submitted the album to the database with all the wrong titles... oh either way it's a damn good record and you're all going to love it, especially the Dinosaur Jr and Jimmy Eat World fans out there (yes somehow those are the two most appropriate comparisons I can make after one listen, deal with it.)

I believe the Marks had a similar thing going on, but we were a group called the Wiggles? Was that it MPS and PLR back me up on this.

yes. our demo cd, when put into itunes, said we were a children's group called the wiggles. it also added the tag 'children's music' to the genre column. if I recall correctly all the songs were about animals.
