Hahahahaha. I was waiting for this. Hello backlash! Actually it's a bit of a relief, as I was really starting to think that the whole world had gone completely mad - I mean it's one thing to like a band and for them to get popular quickly, but this whole thing has just been ridiculous (read: Bryan has conspiracy theories involving aliens, publicists, and bands from NYC who are not his own).

who you calling bitter? i think they're talented and they are certainly very friendly (a lot nicer than plenty of people in bands around town), so i'm not saying they don't deserve the attention they've gotten (and will get). what i was trying to point out is just that the sudden meteoric rise (at least what seemed like that) was very strange, and I was having a hard time believing that there really weren't any naysayers out there, especially since though they are talented (and alec is one hell of a songwriter) they are pretty much the definition of an acquired taste, if you ask me.
