A Million Ways to be Famous. | Main | Quack quack I might be a hack
Believe it or not, these three fellas just might be your new favorite band in a few months. Really that's not a thing I'd say most of the time, but after hanging out with Mike, Chris, and Keith, the three members of We Are Scientists at the listening party/video screening, I can't help but feel like they've got something nice going on. Of course Coolfer's predictions are probably spot on, but if anything that should still serve as a recommendation for checking out this band when their album comes out in January (or if you're impatient you can drop a $20 for the import version at Virgin right now.) The following picture was prompted by Keith claiming that he looked absurdly pale when I took this photo, so we had to have a comparison. From top to bottom, Jenny F (who now has an imposter posting on her site, very strange), Nora, Keith, me. What's your call? My verdict on the Magic Numbers, now that I got my grubby hands on their cd, is that it's pretty damn good. In a VERY chipper sort of way. Sure it's a little bit much of the whole running through a field or daisies at times, but somehow it hit the right spot on my rainy subway ride this morning. As if this post hasn't had enough talk about music, it's time for you to go get a tasty Halloween Mix from Yewknee. Hurry up and get it, kids, those don't stay online forever and you know you've gotta get that onto a cd in time for your big party this weekend because you just haven't gotten around to hooking up your computer to your stereo. Shame on you. Wait I didn't do that either. Does anyone actually do that? In related nerdiness, Michael, Daniel, and Sibhod all carved pumpkins of each other.
