12:33 PM - Bring on the noise

Pitchfork's got the word on the new Soul Jazz releases. New York Noise 2 look interesting and perhaps even more bizarre and eclectic than the last one - heading further into the experimental territory than the 'safer' post-punk of the first, this time featuring such notables as Rhys Chatham, Sonic Youth, and Glenn Branca's the Static. It comes out tomorrow. Don't miss this tasty little nugget of a NY music history lesson. I'm sure we'll be getting them in at the shop.
