10:07 AM - Ticketweb is a steaming pile of poop
I was sitting here at my computer, fingers poised, ready to jump on the Sonic Youth tickets that were going on sale at exactly 10am through Ticketweb.com. I tried to sign in but couldn't remember my password - no worry, Mary let me use her login. I did the refresh ritual until that little ticket icon turned colorful, then pickd two tickets and hit "add to cart." Proceed to checkout - no items in cart! Um, excuse me? Ok so let's try again. Search for the event... pick number of tickets, add to cart, checkout... no items in cart! GAH! Again... and this time the site gives me an error! Dammit. One more time. Search for event. Sold out. While Ticketweb doesn't have the bad reputation that Ticketmaster has, their site is horrible and the whole loading issue and errors like this just make it a waste of time. I'd rather wait in line and get a wristband or jump through whatever hoops you have to to get a physical ticket these days than deal with this sort of annoyance.
