06:20 PM - The Indie Magazine Network

At the last Deli Magazine show I picked up a flyer for something I'd never heard of before (plenty of things happen at the Deli that go unnoticed by many of us involved) - The Indie Magazine Network. It looks to be a fairly new organization, but what they're doing is interesting - uniting (at this point) six totally independent magazines across the country, helping not only to give more exposure to the magazines, but also to advertisers who can place ads in all of them for reasonable rates. Not bad.

Aside from NYC's The Deli, the other mags are Slug, The Marquee, Playback:stl, Innerview, and Rift.

The next Deli Magazine event is... well, tonight! At Asterisk Art Space in Bushwick. Come out and party with a ton of great bands!
