The Secret Life of Sofia will play at Northsix tonight. This is their first time playing the venue and I imagine that they'll come across quite nicely with its good sound. The show starts at 9pm and cover is $10. Also playing are Paul Michel, The Receiver, Tryst.

In just a couple weeks, on Saturday, October 21st, TSLOS will play another one of the city's best rooms - the Mercury Lounge. This one is with a few quite "buzzy" bands, including Maritime, Bound Stems, and Heather Duby. The Bound Stems record is great - what I saw of them live didn't quite do it for me last time but I wouldn't discount them just yet.
