Nevermind lists. I haven't gotten around to a "best albums," "top singles," or "best new band" list for 2006 (the closest I came was the list of my 5 favorite eps). There's no need for more numbered listification on the internet, but if you are curious about what I enjoyed this year you could take a look at the 49 bands that I drew as robots. Many of them released music that I enjoyed very much and would recommend listening to. As I mentioned recently, I would like to officially close out 2006 for Subinev.com with one last (and neatly enough, 50th) Robotinev drawing of a band as robots. I've gotten a few great suggestions so far and there's one band who are apparently a favorite of the people (err, of my readers - which is good because they're a favorite of mine) but there is still some time to get your suggestions in. Remember, if I pick the band that you were the first to suggest, then you get a nice one of a kind print of the drawing (not a print of the final image that goes on my site, but rather something done totally by hand.) Comment, email, or im the name of the band you would like to see robotified to me by midnight on Thursday, January 4, 2007. The band and drawing winner will be announced here within a day or two after that deadline here on Subinev.com. If I am going to get around to any sort of list, it has to be about what a great year this was. In addition to all that time drawing robots, I also spent a lot of time in a sweatervest, in a recording studio, a van, and lots of stages, behind the scenes, on the internets and on tv, taking photos, and doing all sorts of ridiculous things with my adventure pal. It's been very good and I'm looking forward to 2007. Thanks and have a Happy New Year everybody! I'm off to Boston!
