11:54 PM - More 2007 Wrapup business
This is about as good a time as any to point out that the CMJ staff have put their top ten lists online (ok, rather, I put them online), mine included. You'll have to scroll or search for it, but here are the stats on my list: 3 of the bands I'd never listened to before 2007. 3 of the acts have been turned into robots here on Subinev. I've seen 7 of the 10 acts live (all in this year, except for one). Sadly, I believe only one female is represented in the top ten (though that number could be doubled or even tripled if you count sometimes-or-frequent-touring-band-members). There would have been more but I didn't think it was fair to include records that I had any involvement in. Anyway, just go read the lists. I'm also pretty happy to say that my own band has turned up on a few year-end lists, with some very kind words. Thanks, folks. By the way, while things are pretty quiet over here, my Flickr account has been hyperactive lately. I'm sort of hooked on it these days - brings me back to the good old days when Subinev was a photoblog. Remember that?
