08:14 AM - A note from the desk of mister (SIRIUS) Business

Tonight, Monday April 16 Serious Buisiness head-honcho Travis Harrison will be the guest on SIRIUS' Blog Radio show hosted by Jason from ProductShopNYC. They'll be spinning tunes, talking shop, talking business. TUNE IN!

Airs tonight, Monday 4/16 at 10PM on the Left of Center channel.
Thanks.

12:31 PM - things of note for today.

First off, tonight Man in Gray and the Unsacred Hearts are playing at Luna Lounge. Free show. 8:30pm. MiG first, then the Hearts. Yup, another fun-filled night of hot Serious Business action at Luna (and really, definitely, without-a-doubt the last one!) so come party with us!
Mary shows some hardcore SBR love!

And now, a fun little activity that I'll call "Let's see what sort of awesome search results Subinev is getting (and turning up on the first page, often within the first couple results)."

MSN Searches

Google

Yahoo

Ok, sorry if that wasn't interesting, but to me it was. I swear this isn't a Sonic Youth fan site. Though I guess you wouldn't really know that this month, right?

11:46 AM - MORE SBR! Contest!

The other night at the El Jezel show at Luna Lounge was fun as always, and of course I brought along some Serious Business stickers.

If you can correctly guess whose crotch this is you will win something. Must give first name and if possible last name or some other detail. Good luck.

Can you guess whose crotch this is?

Marta and Dan, who tried to show the SBR love but the sticker just wasn't liking his goatee.

George and Kristie, who were more than happy to be models.

And finally, Marta got one of me looking silly.

Bryan is a Serious Business Records ho.

Wow, this collection of SBR-pimping is really growing quickly, huh?

By the way, there are pictures on the internet from Karaoke the other night. Look here. The one of me and George is pretty silly, but the two of Marta and the guy who joined her onstage to do some very sexy dancing are hilarious.

09:21 AM - All in the family, friday night funtimes!

The best damn rock-n-roll band in town played Trash on Friday, and a whole slew of lovely degenerates came out to shake it with the boys. Photos of the bands will be on my Flickr page soon, but first you have to see the latest installment of the SBR models project!

Here we have Smilin' Andy Bean, who represents both The Unsacred Hearts and The Two Man Gentlemen Band!

Smilin' Andy Bean!

Here we have Maggie and John, who has an awesome keytar band called EZ Machine. Make sure you watch the two fantabulous videos over there.

And now, finally, there is Roman from Post Office Gals, who wears the tightest pants ever, but he screams good and lives in NJ and works at Dunkin' Donuts so he's cool with me. And last but not least, Phil the Serious Business intern.

Roman from Post Office GalsPhil.

Phil just sent me this shot he took to include in the set from Trash... one of the most obvious ones that I had somehow neglected to get thus far: Travis "Serious Business Head Honcho" Harrison.

By the way, fellow Park Slopers, guess what fine coffee and tasty treat establishment is about to open up right on 5th ave and 9th st (next to Daisy's)... summer walks to and from band practice will now be much more frosty and refreshing (and caffeinated!), indeed!

Oh look, it's the SBR merch table!

Serious Business Stuff for sale!

If you see this at a show, buy everything!

01:06 PM - gettin' serious!

I found more people willing to be SBR models!

First, we have mister rockstar, George of El Jezel fame. Note that he is proudly displaying an Emma la Reina button.

Then of course next has to be the stunning Jessica, also of El Jezel.

And finally, wildman Chris from the aforementioned Emma La Reina.

Last night at Death Disco was fun. And wild. Oh my.

02:12 AM - and now a word from our sponsor

This is Kelly. Aka Kelly from the Art of Shooting.

kelly enjoys serious business records products.

I like her because she let me take this picture of her with an SBR sticker on her face. That's awesome and stuff. I think I'm going to start a collection of SBR-stickered faces.
